Hit-and-run: Woman killed in accident

GUJAR KHAN:

The police have failed to trace the driver of a dumper truck that hit a woman on GT Road in Gujar Khan. According to police, the 60-year-old woman was hit by the speeding dumper truck near Rescue 1122 office around 3pm on Tuesday while she was crossing the road. The woman was taken to a hospital where she died.

The local police said the truck driver drove away, leaving the woman in critical condition. However, the police registered a case against the unknown driver on the complaint of M. Javed, hailing from Hamid Jhangi, and a son of the victim.
