Frontier Corps teams have intensively combed the entire region but could not verify the entry or presence of these Iranian border guards on its territory.
In a statement released by the foreign office on Tuesday,
it said that the government regretted the negligence on its part over the incident.
“Pakistan has already informed the Iranian authorities that its Frontier Corps teams have intensively combed the entire region but could not verify the entry or presence of the abducted Iranian border guards on its territory,” the statement read.
The foreign office claimed that there was a possibility that the kidnappers, along with the abducted border guards, may still be hiding within Iranian territory.
“Security organisations of both the countries are in regular contact and a senior level Pak-Iran border meeting has been scheduled in Quetta for February 19, at which relevant information will be exchanged.”
The statement added that Iranian forces had no authority to cross Pakistani border, and any such attempt will be in violation of the international law.

Pakistan has replied to Iran by issuing a joint statement with Saudi Arabia... it is a call for Syrian govt to step down. That is the last pro Iran govt in the world. . The reply couldn't have been stronger. Well done Pakistan.

Primarily it is Syria. Pakistan has changed its policy of neutrality in their internal conflict. Saudi Arabia after getting disappointed from US and Russia has turned to Pakistan. Iran is staunch supporter of Alavi regime in Syria through Hizbullah of Lebanon. Little mis calculation/ misunderstanding across the border is not a big issue otherwise.
Great response by Pakistan Foreign office. We should not give in to threats by anyone. This is Iran's drama because of Pakistan's support for Kashmir, Pashtoons of Afghanistan, and Syrian people against Assad. Iran should not try to lose its only friendly Sunni neighbor for Hindu's sake.

Iran shoul know that Pakistan is the only country in the world that allows UN banned organisations to run freely. The people openly welcome them in their cities.

Negligence? Disband the FC whatever it means. This force was raised by the Brits from the locals to control the locals which the army has now penetrated into and regard them as an auxiliary force. This must be placed under the elected leaders of the respective territories. They are currently regarded as forteign khakis.
