‘Baseless’: Security officials rebuff TTP allegations
Security official says it was mere propaganda to justify their dastardly acts of terror.
KARACHI:
While denying that they killed any Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) member in their custody, security officials condemned the murder of the 23 FC personnel by the Taliban.
A day earlier, Umer Khorasani of the TTP’s Mohmand Agency chapter claimed in a statement that the 23 FC men were killed to avenge the “killing of Taliban prisoners in the government’s custody”.
Calling the TTP’s allegations baseless, one security official said it was mere “propaganda to justify their dastardly acts of terror”. He added that the killing of the 13 policemen in Karachi and now the responsibility of the FC murders in their captivity “are blatant and provocative acts of terror.”
