LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairperson Imran Khan wants to give a high status to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), stated senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Aitzaz Ahsan while talking to the media in Lahore, Express News reported on Monday.

He said that the government accepted TTP as a stakeholder when it decided to negotiate with them but the PTI chief wants to give an even greater position to the TTP.

The senior PPP leader added that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as well as Imran should rethink their stance on peace negotiations after TTP claimed responsibility for killing 23 FC men.

Talking about PPP’s standpoint, Ahsan said that his party did not expect anything from the peace talks since the first day.
