Spot sale: POF bags arms deal with Punjab CTD

Punjab’s home secretary directs purchase committee to initiate case for procurement of POF products.

WAH CANTT: The Punjab Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) will join hands with Pakistan Ordinance Factories (POF) to equip its force with the latest arms and bulletproof jackets to meet growing challenges of militancy. Punjab Home Secretary Muhammad Azam and AIG of CTD Aftab Cheema decided this during a live fire demonstration arranged by the POF. Special Home Secretary Punjab and IG Prisons were also present. Commandant Elite Force Col Saad and high officials of police and CTD themselves fired with POF products and also witnessed the fire demonstration of other POF products. On this occasion, Punjab’s home secretary directed purchase committee to initiate a case for procurement of POF products immediately.
