Improving education: Training for English teachers ends

Training aimed to discuss testing, alternative and trends in ELT assessment to assess language activities and skills.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) organised a week-long training session for English teachers from across the country. Twenty-four English teachers from public sector colleges attended the “Testing and Assessment on ELT” training, held under the HEC’s English Language Teaching Reforms Project (ELTRP) in collaboration with the US embassy. So far, 160 English teachers from across the country have been trained under the ELTRP, said a press release. The training aimed to discuss aspects of assessment, trends in ELT assessment, testing and alternative assessment to assess a variety of language activities and skills.
