Raids: Eighteen suspected gamblers held

Rawalpindi police arrest 18 gamblers, recover stake money amounting to Rs70,180 and 11 mobile phones.

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi police have arrested 18 gamblers and recovered stake money amounting to Rs70,180 and 11 mobile phones from their possession. The Civil Line police conducted a raid in New Civil Line Mohalla and arrested seven gamblers identified as Amjad, Zahid, Shouk, Javed, Javed Iqbal, Noor Zaman and Ramazan. The police recovered Rs56,000 stake money and six mobile phones from their possession. The Saddar Bairuni police arrested 11 gamblers identified as Khalal, Hakam, Rafique, Sardar, Jameel, Sahar Khan, Muhammad Gul, Javed, Gul Muhammad, Muhammad Sher and Zamir Khan and recovered Rs14,180 stake money and five mobile phones from them.
