ACE International Academy held its two-day annual sports day between Friday and Saturday, said a press release.

The day started with a march past of all grades dressed in vibrant colours. The flags of the around 25 countries were presented by the senior students showing the diversity of nationalities at the ACE.

Children cheered the crowd with exciting cheerleading representing the Olympics logo, ACE and torches. An ‘Olympic torch’ was lit to officially start the day’s events.

Later, the class races started. Foundation stage children presented chicken dance earlier on Friday. They also took part in many other obstacle races. Primary and secondary children took part in the respective class races waiting to win that special class trophy and individual gold and silver medals. The very popular ‘tug of war’ between the parents and ACEIA staff brought everybody on the ground.

Earlier, during the sports week, all schoolchildren took part in the in-house events like volleyball and football matches.

The winning teams and the position holders were awarded with class trophies and medals.

Beaming faces, chests adorned with medals, trophy winning classes, certificate holders and proud parents, were everywhere at the event site.
