Interference: Removal of Health Dept letters sought

Meeting decided delegation will meet advisor to CM on health.

LAHORE: The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, in an emergency meeting on Friday, demanded the immediate removal of two letters written by Health Department. CPSP President Zafarullah Chaudhry presided over an emergency meeting of the CPSP council. The meeting was attended by councillors from all provinces and the army. The council adopted a resolution demanding withdrawal of letters written by the Health Department and declared the CPSP secretary’s reply the CPSP’s position. It also decided that a delegation will meet Khawaja Salman Rafique, advisor to the chief minister on health, and the chief minister so that the issues may be resolved amicably. The future line of action will be decided at the next council meeting.
