The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led coalition government will fulfil all its promises to the people, including its assurances of eradicating corruption and bribery, said Chief Minister (CM) Pervez Khattak.
As the chief guest, Khattak expressed his views at the inaugural ceremony of ‘Khud Kafalat scheme’ (self-employment), jointly organised by Bank of Khyber (BoK) and the CM Secretariat’s industries department. With an initial budget of Rs2 billion, the scheme aims to provide interest-free business loans, ranging from Rs50,000 to Rs200,000, to young entrepreneurs for a period of three years through the BoK.
The CM termed the scheme an important step towards reducing unemployment and poverty in the province and assured the government will allocate Rs2 billion every year for the scheme.
“The ratio of unemployment and poverty has increased, which has led to social problems.” Khattak claimed the young generation is getting involved in other activities because of their economic conditions, which is a matter of great concern.

People always find ways to bash PTI. They keep working, however. Hats off to KPK govt.
@Hassan Many schemes have been running prior to PTI government - did you see any fruitful results? NO. I'll review my own question in few years time and see if PTI deliver, so give them a chance.
This scheme was already running for the last 3 years by BOK. Only change of name from Bacha Khan Alleviation program to Khud Kafalat scheme.
Unemployment can be addressed by promoting entrepreneurship. Both federal and provincial schemes are good, lets join hands to prosper rather than indulging in differences.
Hmmm...copycat who?..:)
