President Mamnoon Hussain will embark on an official three-day visit to China starting from February 18, foreign ministry officials said on Tuesday.
President Mamnoon will hold summit-level talks with President Xi Jinping during the visit.
“Soon after the announcement of the historic Pakistan-China economic corridor, the two countries have started planning on implementation of infrastructure projects to concretise the gains of connectivity,” said foreign ministry spokesperson Tasnim Aslam.
During the president’s visit, the second meeting of the Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) will be convened on the 18th. Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reform, will lead the Pakistani delegation at the meeting.
