DERA ISMAIL KHAN:
Three suspected terrorists were killed in an explosion in the Kolachi area of Dera Ismail Khan on Tuesday, Express News reported.

The three suspects were reportedly planting explosive material on the side of a road in Bacha Khan, Kolachi. In the process, the explosives accidentally detonated, killing all of them on the spot.

Previous incidents

On November 3 last year, explosive material went off inside a religious seminary at Eastern Bypass, on the edge of Quetta valley. Eyewitnesses had said three people were wounded. Deputy Inspector General Police (Operations) Mohammed Jaffar had stated that the injured were preparing an explosive device, which went off by accident.

On January 30 2013, a bomb went off accidentally when suspected militants were shifting it in the Sohrab Goth neighbourhood of Karachi. At least three suspected militants were killed in the explosion.

Just a week before that, seven militants were killed and another four injured in an explosion at a compound in Upper Orakzai Agency. A security official did not comment on the reason behind the blast, but some speculated the explosives were accidentally detonated by the militants themselves.
