@ABKhan: We went UN | no we did not - do we care. Kashmir, Siachen, Kargil, Sir Creek all these are still Indian territory. And we also now have a Bangladesh. So cool down. Its not such a great airforce. Yes it is good at strafing and bombing Fata and Waziristan. That I give you.
PAF had air superiority in all the wars it lost. PN had maritime superiority in all the wars it lost. And Pak Army advanced on all fronts in all the wars it lost. Now Pakistan will have the best trainers in all the wars the Iraqis lose. And Alam's score will get a boost each time another admirer writes about him. It can be a great life when you learn to dominate reality!!!!
@IndianDude: Please read your comment again... is it making sense.. i think not!!!!
@Vectra:
Pakistan lost all warns and it was India in 1965, which went to UN to get back the part of Kashmir which Pakistan captured. It shows who is in the state of denial. Long term effects of watching star news
@Vectra: I agree with you that your have air superiority. But, whats the use of you so called air superiority?. Everything you fought for against us is still with us - Kashmir, Siachen, Kargil, Sir Creek, your water resources and much more. Your air superiority allowed us to take a piece of your country and create another nation out of it. So far your air superiority has only worked when it comes to bombing Waziristan and Fata.
@Vectra: yes... living in denial is you my friend... not pakistanis... wake up....
I suppose they are good. In the 65 war, one, M. Alam shot 8 Indian fighter jets in a matter of minutes.
@Dhaka: On the contrary, they were training them before 1971...but the Bengali's never proved themselves to be good fighter pilots. But they turned to be good fighters later one.
@kishan "Waiting for Indian trolls..." kishan? really? Look who is trolling! KISHAN GENDER: Masculine USAGE: Indian Meaning & History Modern form of KRISHNA Related Names See All Relations Show Family Tree VARIANTS: Kishen, Kistna, Krishna OTHER LANGUAGES: Krishna (Hinduism), Krisna (Indonesian)
@Vectra: Instead of reading what Indian government feeds you, you should consult independent sources about air superiority in both 1965 andn 1971 wars. Ir-respective who won or lost both wars, the simple fact is that Pakistan had complete air superiority in both wars. There is a lot of stuff available from independent and neutral sources that will testify this.
If Iraqis want to learn how to crash their planes, they can go to India
@Dhaka: Err... Just a gentle correction : it's personnel and not personal.
@Dhaka: I got the joke. Do you people even have anything called aircraft in your country?
Iran will not be too pleased with this.
Pakistan airforce personal trainings can be done in Bangladesh.
How about providing each other a guaranteed recipe for life long peace and prosperity instead of warships and what not to instill / encourage / instigate fighting ?
That would be great. Pakistan is a truly a great aerial power. That can be gauged from the fact that in all of our wars with India, India was not able to achieve air superiority over us. Nor can India dare that in future too.
@Omar J., Karachi:
Do not poppycoak anything if you do not know about the subject.
Iraq AF under Saddam did tried to turn off the Systems, it tactic didn't work & have cost them dearly.
When forces are capable then only sneak peak attack are possible or unless there is a tacit nod involved from the other party.
Iraq AF are trying to structure the AF from bottom up. She could have gone to Turkey or Russia for that matter but prefer to choose Pakistan because of past defence cooperation.
regards,
Keep up the good work. Pakistan air force is capable of handling bigger things. I see more outsider interested than outsiders. Wow are the recommendations :-)
I am not sure if it is in the interest of newly-become democratic Iraq to sign such a deal with a country who has a growing relations and often send mercenaries to Saudi Arabia and other small monarchies.
will this training include process of how not to respond when border checkposts are bombed or foreign helicopters enter national airspace to carry out covert operation? Im sure one key lesson would be how to shift blame no matter how grave the shortcomings of the airforce are. Good luck iraqi airforce.
@Omar J., Karachi: If you're concerned about our airspace, why don't you vote in someone who doesn't waste the country's wealth on his kids. You vote for Bhutto and MQM, starve the country of funds and then cry why was the airspace not protected? Do you know the comparison of PAF budget with USAF, or even IAF? Feel free to keep quite any time now. . It's the man in the aircraft that matters, and that's where PAF is the best in the world, even after being crippled by politicians. An entire squadron of F-16s could have been bought ff the money stolen in the RRP and OGRA scams, along with the necessary radars. Make that happen first, then cry about Pakistan's Air Defence.
God save the Iraqis. That's all I can say.
Iraqis want to learn how to use air power against their own people
According to the first agreement PAF would provide training to Iraq Air Defense Force personnel, in all sphere of modern air force concept pertaining to different field special air defence, and air crew.
What do we have to teach Iraq here? Are we going to teach them how to turn off their Air Defense Systems and Radars? They can also then claim in case of any intrusion into their airspace that their forces are ready and capable, but the system was off.
also teach them how to ignore drones in the vicinity. i guess its already in the subject course.
Agreement between two great warrior nations............although several times knocked out with toothless mouths.
Waiting for Indian trolls. Thanks ET for not filtering their hate
