Sindh Bank: SBP issues Islamic banking licence

The bank has successfully completed the pre-launch phase on a fast track.

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has granted Islamic banking licence to Sindh Bank for the commencement of Islamic banking operations. The bank has successfully completed the pre-launch phase on a fast track and now work on pre-commencement phase is under way. The first Islamic banking branch of Sindh Bank will open its doors soon with innovative deposit and financing products for the customers, backed up with distinct Islamic brand, strong Shariah-compliance mechanisms, state-of-the-art IT platform and best human resource.
