Stepping up: PMDC to prevent negligence by doctors

Professor Khan says 35 cases of fake registration were found and handed over to court and FIA for investigations.

KARACHI: The Pakistan Medical and Dental College (PMDC) is trying to erase quackery as well prevent negligence by doctors by ensuring that all essential conditions by medical colleges are implemented. PMDC president Professor Masood Hameed Khan said that this will also be done for the teaching faculties at medical colleges and universities across the country. In regard to the recent negative publicity the regulatory authority has been receiving due to allegations of rigged elections and wrongful appointments, the unsystematic growth of medical colleges and fake registrations of doctors, Professor Khan said that when he took charge of the PMDC, it was not in good condition but 35 cases of fake registration were found and handed over to the court and FIA for investigations.
