Four armed robbers struck at a house in Dhoke Ratta and looted cash and valuables at gunpoint on Thursday.


The robbers beat the owner up with pistol butts when he resisted, and fled leaving him injured. Muhammad Riaz lodged a report with the local police that masked robbers broke into his house around 3pm while they were asleep.


They ransacked the house cupboards and took away Rs50, 000 cash, jewellery and valuables. They injured him by hitting him with their pistol butts when he offered resistance to them, and fled on two motorcycles.


Meanwhile, three persons including a woman were booked for allegedly kidnapping a woman in the Gunjmandi area of Rawalpindi.


Noshad* lodged a report with the local police that Safeer*, Anees* with their mother allegedly kidnapped his sister, Nosheen*, from his house. The police registered a case against the suspects and started investigation. The police have registered cases and further investigations are underway.
