Illegal: Three blood banks sealed

BAHAWALPUR: The Health Department on Wednesday raided illegal blood banks in front of Bahawal Victoria Hospital and seized Government Hospital’s seals from them. Three blood banks have been sealed.

Following complaints by several citizens, a team comprising Health the EDO, a drug inspector and Dr Tariq raided Al Rehmat Blood Bank, Dua Diagnostics Centre and Al Minhaj Blood Bank.

The team recovered District Blood Unit BVH seals from Dua Diagnostics Centre and apprehended unqualified staff working there.
