On behalf of govt: Memon allots 200 plots to journalists

Sharjeel Memon says eighty per cent of cost will be borne by provincial government.

KARACHI: Sindh government has allotted 200 plots to members of the Karachi Press Club. This was stated by the provincial information minister, Sharjeel Memon, at a gathering before the balloting of the plots at the Karachi Press Club on Tuesday. Speaking at the occasion, Memon said that the Pakistan Peoples Party stood for democracy and appreciated the journalists’ efforts for the cause. The provincial government has allotted the land to journalist as a token of appreciation, he said. “It is very valuable land, where education city is also being developed along with many other development schemes. Eighty per cent of the cost will be borne by the provincial government while journalists will have to pay only 20 per cent of the land value,” he added.
