Cholistan Jeep Rally: Foolproof security promised

Fool-proof security by Punjab Police with the road leading to Derawar Fort also being repaired.

MULTAN: Several government officials reviewed on Monday the arrangements made for the 9th Desert Jeep Rally 2014 near Derawar Fort, Bahawalpur starting from February 14. In a meeting, Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) General Manager (Operations) Tanveer Jabbar and TDCP Regional Manager Shahid Mahmood were told that the Punjab Police had promised fool-proof security for the rally. The officials were informed that the road leading to Derawar was also being repaired for the event. Jabbar said visitors could book family camps for Rs4,000 each. He said a camel safari, a jeep safari and food courts were being arranged for the event.
