Material loss: Firing damages PESCO official’s vehicle
Police launch a search operation in nearby villages, no arrests made till filing of report.
NOWSHERA:
Unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire at the vehicle of a Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) official on Monday. No loss of life was reported in the incident as the car was unoccupied and parked along GT Road. Akora Khattak SHO Fazal Subhan said Pesco Sub-Divisional Officer of Akora, Haider Ali, told the police he was inside the premises of his office building when he heard gunshots. Ali reported he came out of the building and discovered someone had shot at his car, as a result of which the tyres were punctured and the windows shattered. Subhan added police launched a search operation in nearby villages of Misri Bandha and Mughalki following the incident, however, no arrests were made till the filing of this report. He shared an FIR was registered against unidentified culprits after the Pesco official informed them he had no personal rivalries.
