Road mishap: Man killed, six injured

MANDRA: A man was killed and six others injured when a speeding truck collided with an overturned passenger van in Mandra on Sunday. Rescue 1122 said that the incident took place when the passenger van overturned near Kakra village after one of its tyres burst and a speeding truck collided with it. A passenger, who has been identified as Sarwar, died on the spot, whereas six others were first taken to a nearby hospital and later, shifted to District Headquarters Hospital due to their critical condition. The injured persons have been identified as Talat, Khushnood, Ali Hussain, Saima, Mohsin and Saeed Ali.
