Capacity building: Govt to train cotton growers
Government will provide information to cotton growers about technology transfer and crop management.
ISLAMABAD:
Ministry of Textile Industry has planned training programmes for cotton growers to harness full potential of the GSP Plus status granted by the European Union to Pakistan. Spokesman of the ministry, Dr Khalid Abdullah, said that training would be provided to farmers in modern technologies of cultivations and crop management, Radio Pakistan reported on Sunday. He said the government in collaboration with major agricultural research institutions will also provide information to cotton growers about technology transfer, pest and crop management to enhance crop output in the country.
