Ban enforced: 24 arrested for riding motorcycles

Khasadar forces tightened security in Jamrud, Khyber Agency to ensure Sehat ka Insaf drive in provincial capital.

JAMRUD: Khasadar forces arrested 24 motorcyclists in different areas of Jamrud, Khyber Agency on Sunday for riding motorbikes despite a ban. Assistant Political Agent Jahangir Azam said they tightened security in Jamrud to ensure the security of health teams during the Sehat ka Insaf drive in the provincial capital. He said they deputed more khasadar officials at checkpoints in the area and searched all vehicles going to or coming back from Peshawar. Azam said they arrested 24 motorcyclists for violating the ban in Shahkas, Ghundai and Wazir Dhand areas of Jamrud.
