While talking exclusively to The Express Tribune Wafa Kalia, Brand Manager for Maybelline New York in Karachi, said, “Maybelline is five years old in the Pakistani fashion industry, but overall, it is a 100-year-old brand based in the United States.”
Raana Khan, the stylist said, she has been using Maybelline since more than five years. While endorsing the brand, she highlighted the fact that she loves their mascara. For Khan, the lip balm product is, “young and fresh and one that anyone can easily use.”
The Baby Lips Balm has been introduced in three shades, Quenched, which is transparent, Pink Punch that is a light shade of pink and Cherry Me, which is bright red in colour. Khan stylised three bloggers present at the event, giving them the perfect winter looks. Firstly, there was the Smokey Eyes Evening Look, in which she used cosmic black and silver shades for the eyes and chestnut brown lipstick coupled with the Quenched Baby Lip Balm. Then, there was the fresh Spring Look, in which she toyed with Vivid Rose lipstick, Pink Punch and mocha brown eye shade. Lastly, showcasing the Modern ’60s Look, she worked around with Cherry Me Balm on the lips and Peacock Green eye shade.
Overall, it was a well-put together event, with a turnout including both writers and bloggers, but the dull lighting at the venue did not allow the make-up artist’s work to be visible. Whether you’re a Maybelline user or not, the tutorials were definitely useful, and provided some inspiration for winter beauty looks.
