NOWSHERA: Four police officials were injured when a bomb exploded near their vehicle on GT Road in Pirpai area on Saturday evening. Azakhel police official Madad Khan said officials were patrolling GT Road heading towards Peshawar when a roadside bomb exploded near their vehicle, injuring all four officials and damaging the vehicle. Madad added a heavy contingent of police rushed to the site and shifted the injured to a nearby private clinic where they were administered first aid. “The bomb exploded when the vehicle had passed which is why a big loss was averted,” he said. The injured officials include driver Darvaish, head constable Wahid Ali and constables Saadul Islam and Inayat Khan. All were stated to be in stable condition. Madad said a search operation was launched and a case registered against unidentified militants.
