The party on Friday released the detailed responses Nasim had sent NewsNight’s Owen Bennett-Jones. Jones had broadcast the first part of his documentary on the MQM last year, while the second was broadcast earlier this week.
MQM claimed that despite providing detailed responses to all allegations, their version was not given proper coverage in the programme which created a false impression that the MQM was loosening its grip and that MQM chief Altaf Hussain stood accused in a number of cases.
“We believe that it is against the norms of professional journalism not to include the proper version of the MQM in the report prepared by Jones,” the statement read.
In the responses, Nasim provides answers on outstanding cases against Altaf Hussain in Pakistan, claiming that the MQM chief has been acquitted.
Nasim also responded to the programme’s claim that party was losing its grip, and pointed towards the electoral victory MQM had secured in the May 2013 elections, and how their mandate had been upheld in subsequent challenges in the election tribunals.
He also pointed towards the use of MQM chief’s speeches out of context and removed from background in the BBC programme.
The barrister, who has often represents the MQM in court, said that the party was cooperating with British authorities in on-going investigations.

This Nasim guy is one of those who ran to Wales when MQM had it's mass exodus. If the readers do some research they'll know who he truly is, and then you can decide if you want to believe him or not. Also please research which type of MQM party workers ran to Wales in specific. ET you should do some investigative journalism and not be scared of attacks on your workers. We are with you.
Days are numbered
@Stellar: Update your information, pls. Cases dismissed against elected MQM member parliaments, also the 22nd by elections, Army in and outside polling station and MQM won all 4 seats, so enough of rigging allegations, they are all hollow, emptied of meaning and evidence
Very convincing response from Mr. Farogh Naseem. Documentaries based on information provided by Social media trolls would do nothing but damage the credibility of channel and Owen Bennett-Jones. Such programs would only strengthen MQM.
The election commission has on record has said ‘we have failed to conduct free and fair elections in Karachi’ ( many electronic channels have this recording). The election result in Karachi should be declared null and void and just like by-elections, they should be conducted a new. Otherwise the result will have no moral, legal and lawful justification.
Nasim also responded to the programme’s claim that party was losing its grip, and pointed towards the electoral victory MQM had secured in the May 2013 elections, and how their mandate had been upheld in subsequent challenges in the election tribunals. The election commission on record has said that they have failed to hold free and fair elections in Karachi. Also in the recounting in NA-256. Nadra have pointed more than 57,000 bogus votes were casted. The mandate mantra is fake and dubious.

Since when media reports have become definitive tests. The report simply has no substance on the murder case. It starts with a comment about MQM's 'remote control politics' and ends with MQM 'losing grip'. It completely betrays the intent of the report. Why couldnt the report get the pictures of the two guys mentioned from their institutes LAMS
