The report by Owen Bennett-Jones aired on BBC Two’s television news programme “Newsnight” named the two men allegedly involved in senior MQM leader Imran Farooq’s murder. For the first time, the programme revealed information about their stay in the UK.
The British media also claimed that the UK prosecutors have demanded of the Pakistani government to trace the men. However, later on Thursday, news channels reported that Karachi city police chief Shahid Hayat said the police does not have any record of the arrest of the two suspects.
According to the programme, the two suspects, who hail from Karachi, came to the UK in 2010 on student visas. A businessman and a consultant helped them with their visa applications and college admissions.
The two suspects did not attend college and moved around to a number of places in the UK where they kept Imran Farooq on the radar, Newsnightaired. They left UK on September 16, 2010,-- hours after Farooq’smurder – and went to Sri Lanka, later arriving in Karachi on September 19.
The report also mentions the disappearance of another man believed to be involved in helping the suspects.

It is good a example of investigation for pakistani agencies. The arrested persons should be presented for trial instead of giving mqm underpressure for politics
another man believed to be involved in helping the suspects...was arrested by inteleegecy men from Malir...whose whereabout is unknown....may be killed in custody.....for whom he was working
