Defence partnership: Stronger ties pledged with Turkey
The two sides renewed the commitment to work towards exploring opportunities for joint ventures.

Turkey and Pakistan have pledged to intensify their efforts for promoting their defence cooperation during talks held between Defence Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain and his Turkish counterpart Ismet Yimaz in Ankara. Both discussed several proposals for transfer of technology, export of defence equipment and services as the two defence ministers led their respective delegations in talks. Hussain is visiting Turkey on an invitation from the Turkish leadership. During his visit the defence minister briefed the hosts about the initiatives and progress made by Pakistan in the defence production sector. The two sides renewed the commitment to work towards exploring opportunities for joint ventures. They discussed progress on the ongoing defence projects.
