Maintenance & repair: Rs79.16m released for canals
Irrigation Department officials said the funds had been released for non-perennial and perennial canals’ maintenance.

The government has released Rs79.16 million for maintenance and repair of canals in the Multan zone. Irrigation Department officials said the funds had been released for non-perennial and perennial canals’ maintenance across the zone in different phases. They said Rs6.85 million had been released for Shujabad division, Rs8.57 million for Multan, Rs15.68 million for Trimmu division, Rs3.64 million for Islam headworks and Rs9.91 million for Lodhran division. They said Rs8.99 million had been released for the Eastern Bar, Rs12.47 million for the Western Bar, Rs8.44 million for Sulemanki headworks and Rs4.49 million for Sidhnai headworks.
