We seem to have no confidence in ourselves or in our languages.
ISLAMABAD: This is with reference to Yaqoob Khan Bangash’s article of January 28 “Al Bakistan’ dreamland”. The writer has put forward some entirely valid arguments in his piece. Our ‘burger’ population speaks English with an American, or sometimes, a British accent. Then there is that section of the population that has now learned the perfect Arabic accent and uses it to exhibit its ‘superiority’ over others. We seem to have no confidence in ourselves or in our languages.
