ABU DHABI: We, as a nation, refuse to acknowledge the fact that our roots lie in the region of South Asia, with its multitude of religions, cultures, ethnicity and languages. We need to embrace our roots without giving up our Pakistani statehood and see how quickly we eliminate the various social ills we face.
