OGRA scam: Interior ministry puts nine accused on ECL

The interior ministry on Saturday placed the names of nine people accused in the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) scandal on the Exit Control List (ECL).


According to a notification issued by the ministry, those placed on the ECL include Dewan Ziaur Rehman, former Ogra official Jawad Jamil, Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) Managing Director (MD) Zuhair Siddiqui, SSGC General Manager Finance Syed Aslan, former SSGC MD Azeem Siddiqui, former MD of Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) Rashid Lone, member of the boards of directors of SSGC and SNGPL Mirza Mehmood, and Aqeel Karim Dhedhi.


The names were placed on the ECL following a request made by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
