Improving The Force: Shehri holds workshop for police

The workshop included a discussion on the police’s responsibilities towards each citizen.

KARACHI: A four-day training workshop was organised by Shehri-Citizens for a Better Environment in an effort to improve the policing system. Around 25 participants belonging to various police stations as  well as traffic police attended the workshop. Former Sindh police inspector general, Niaz Ahmed Siddiki, said that the police need to avoid violation of human rights and adopt modern techniques, such as forensics during investigation in order to improve the quality of the policing system. The workshop included a discussion on the police’s responsibilities towards each citizen and the protection of basic human rights.
