Skill development: Vocational training institutes set up in Lahore

The three-year project is aimed at training 75 TVET instructors from seven districts of Pakistan.

The Technology Upgradation and Skill Development Company (Tusdec) organised a Training of Trainers (TOT) programme in Lahore to impart skills to 14 Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) instructors in the field of motorcycle repair and maintenance.


The 15-day TOT session was organised by Tusdec as a consortium partner with the Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development (ACTED) and Pakistan Micro-finance Network (PMN). The three-year project is aimed at training 75 TVET instructors from seven districts of Pakistan, said a company spokesperson here on Friday.

To attend the TOT, instructors were mobilised from Muzaffarabad, Swat, Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Shikarpur, Kashmir and Jacobabad.
