The University of Health Sciences (UHS) declared on Friday the result of its First Professional MBBS Part-II annual examination 2013, in which about 85 per cent of the candidates were successful.
A total of 4,532 candidates of 31 UHS-affiliated medical colleges appeared for the exam in November and December 2013, of which 691 failed. The result of 16 candidates will be declared later on.
Omair Farooq of Allama Iqbal Medical College (AIMC), Lahore secured the first position by scoring 523 out of 600 marks. Sehar Amjad Chaudhry of Fatima Jinnah College of Medicine & Dentistry, Lahore and Nafeesa Liaqat Ali of Nawaz Sharif Medical College, University of Gujrat stood second and third with 520 and 517 marks respectively.
The pass percentage of Gujranwala Medical College, Gujranwala and Shalamar Medical & Dental College, Lahore remained 100 per cent.
The candidates who flunked their exams can submit admission forms by February 18. Supplementary examination will commence on March 11.

Well done, I've heard that doing MBBS in Punjab is the toughest in all of Pakistan - this is a really good result. I'm also a MBBS student, our exams are made by Karachi University and their pass percentage usually hovers between 60-70%. I wonder why.
Thats great... instead 84 percent it should be 100 percent and government should make easier curriculum till it reaches to situation where patients are less and doctors are more in Pakistan. So whenever young doctor blackmailers for the greed of money and incentives make call for strike they are dismissed immediately and new unemployed get higher-ed on short notice. Pakistan Khappay...
