Historically, prior partition in 1898 British Army were planned to construct this multipurpose Dam in Khajoori Kach - West Waziristan (KPK) and they did its Preliminary Survey too. After partition in 1963 Pakistan government they officially launched this project however due to the 1965 War government stopped due to bad cash flow and gov’t negligence. According to WAPDA, in 2001 again progress of work commenced and set completion date in 2011.Construction of Power House completed in 2013 and inaugurated by current government Minster along with US diplomat. Good news is that we get rewarded after long journey!

@syed wazir The real credit goes to US paying for this Project. Chinese & Turkish Company fought for their profits building power station & reservoir. WAPDA mismanaged it & the cost increased by 40%.
