Balochistan security: Malik pushes ferry service for pilgrims

Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said that the Balochistan government’s first priority is to provide basic health, education facilities and to maintain law and order situation. He called upon the federal government to provide ferry service for pilgrims from Karachi to Chabahar, which he said would be safe and economical. “The buses of pilgrims returning from Iran to Pakistan are constantly under threat and have been attacked twice this month,” he said, adding that the Balochistan government is making efforts to maintain peace and tranquility in the area. He also said the federal government was also providing help in this regard. He claimed that crime had gone down by 33% during the last seven months. The CM added that tribes angry with the government will be brought to the negotiating table.
