Collaboration: Sweden determined to strengthen ties

ISLAMABAD: Swedish Ambassador to Pakistan Tomas Rosander said that his country was keen to have enhanced trade and commercial ties with Pakistan besides cultural cooperation and collaboration between educational institutions of the two countries. He said such cooperation can not only help promote mutual understanding but will also pave the way for strengthened bilateral ties. “Sweden has good expertise in energy solutions and environment and Pakistan can benefit from this,” he said, adding that Sweden played a supportive role in securing the GSP Plus status for Pakistan. He said that the grant of status not only provided vital trade opportunities but will also encourage other countries to exchange trade talks and seek investment opportunities in Pakistan.
