Station House Officer (SHO) Police Station Faisal Town Lahore Tariq Warraich said a case was registered on the complaint of the polio worker.
Sumera Alam, who works with the Punjab Health Department, said she was marking doors in Faisal Town when one of the bungalow owners shouted at her for writing on his gate.
Owner Pervez Akbar Butt allegedly threatened to kill her if she was seen in the area again.
Alam accused Butt of creating hindrance in the polio campaign and threatening her. She told The Express Tribune that Butt claimed being related to Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
She alleged that the accused also used abusive language against her and questioned why she marked his door without his permission.
Butt - who is now in police custody – told The Express Tribune that the allegations leveled by the female polio worker were baseless and that he only barred the polio worker from marking his door and no child was present in his house.
