Enforcing the law: Law enforcers kill three alleged criminals, arrest 33 others

Two suspected criminals were killed in two separate raids, while law enforcers claimed to have arrested 33 suspects, including alleged target killers, on Wednesday.


A suspected gangster was killed in an alleged encounter during a search operation, conducted jointly by the police and Rangers, on Tuesday night. When the law enforcers reached the site, the criminals opened fire at them. In the retaliatory fire by the law enforcers, one of the criminals was killed. He was later identified as Behram. Police officials claimed that the deceased was wanted by the police in more than a dozen cases of crime, including target killings and extortion.

Special Investigation Unit police claimed to have killed an alleged criminal in an encounter. According to officials, the raid was conducted near Super Highway. In the exchange of fire, one suspected criminal was killed. Deceased was identified as Gulab Jatoi. SP Farooq Awan said that several cases were registered against the deceased.

A suspect was killed in a alleged encounter with Manghopir police, who said they had tried to intercept two men on a motorcycle when they opened fire. In the exchange of fire, one of the suspects was killed while the other managed to escape.

Separately, Clifton division police claimed to have arrested three alleged target killers in separate raids in Gizri and Clifton. The Rangers spokesperson said they arrested 30 criminals.
