Home at last: Jacobabad police rescue two men

They had been kidnapped from the outskirts of the village around 55 days earlier.

SUKKUR: Jacobabad police rescued two kidnapped men after an encounter with the kidnappers near Daro Ghar, located near the Sindh-Balochistan border, on Tuesday. The victims, identified as Rab Dino Soomro and his cousin, Nizamuddin Soomro, safely reached home in Suhrab Soomro village, late Tuesday night. They had been kidnapped from the outskirts of the village around 55 days earlier. Jacobabad SSP Malik Zafar Iqbal told reporters that the police, acting on a tip-off, raided Daro Gher where an encounter took place between the kidnappers and the police. Though the kidnappers managed to flee, leaving the victims behind.
