Target killing: Afghan national shot dead in Quetta

Unidentified assailants kill an Afghan national in the city’s Pashtunabad neighbourhood.

QUETTA: Unidentified assailants shot dead an Afghan national in the city’s Pashtunabad neighbourhood on Tuesday. The body was shifted to Sandeman Hospital where he was identified as Ahmedullah, son of Abdul Malik. Local police officer Mohammed Tariq said the victim had taken shelter in Quetta from Afghanistan. “An investigation has been opened into the killing,” he added. Many Afghan nationals have fallen victim to targeted killings in Quetta over the past few months, particularly in Pashtunabad and Satellite Town.
