WAPDA held 1-1 by Baloch FC

Move level on points with defending champions KRL after draw in PPFL.

KARACHI: Wapda were held 1-1 by Baloch FC in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) match at Battle X Ground in Lahore on Tuesday.

The four-time champions took the lead with Muhammad Waseem’s goal in the 27th minute, however Baloch FC’s Muhammad Habib equalised in the 76th minute.

Despite the result, Wapda continued on third position with 53 points, edging closer to defending champions KRL, who also have 53 points but lead due to better goal difference. This was their 11th draw in the season.

On the other hand, Wapda have lost only one match and won 14 out of 26 matches they have played so far. Baloch FC remained in 15th place with 20 points.

Army also continued in fifth position with 45 points after defeating Pak-Afghan Clearing Agency (Paca) 2-1.

Paca may face relegation as they concluded the season on 13th position with 24 points after playing all 30 matches.
