Deadly trade: BDS head injured on duty

Wounded official rushed to DI Khan combined military hospital and is in critical condition.

DI KHAN: An official of the bomb disposal squad (BDS) was injured on Monday while defusing an improvised explosive device (IED) in Loni area of Kulachi teshil in DI Khan. Kalachi police station SHO Imran Kundi said they received information of an IED planted in the area after which they rushed to the spot with local BDS head Inaytullah Khan ‘Tiger’. Kundi added while Khan was in the process of defusing the IED, the bomb went off and severely injured him. The wounded official was rushed to the DI Khan combined military hospital and is in critical condition.
