Kamran recalled for Pakistan’s provisional World T20 squad

KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board has recalled out-of-favour wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal for the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Twenty20 as it announced a 30-man preliminary squad announced on Monday. 

Kamran joined the list along with two other wicket-keepers – his brother Umar Akmal and Sarfraz Ahmed.

Meanwhile, seasoned all-rounder Abdul Razzaq failed to make it to the list.

There call-ups for Umar Gul, Shoaib Malik, Sohail Tanveer, Mohammad Irfan and Khurram Manzoor.

Probables include: Mohammad Hafeez, Ahmad Shahzad, Sharjeel Khan, Shahzaib Hasan, Nasir Jamshaid, Khurram Manzoor, Shoaib Malik, Sohaib Maqsood, Umar Akmal (wicket-keeper), Harris Sohail, Yasir Arafat, Yasir Shah, Hammad Azam, Kamran Akmal (wicket-keeper), Shahid Khan Afridi, Zohaib Ahmed, Sohail Tanvir, Mohammad Irfan, Umar Gul, Junaid Khan, Bilawal Bhatti, Anwar Ali, Asad Ali, Ehsan Adil, Mohammad Talha, Saeed Ajmal, Zulfiqar Babar, Raza Hasan, Abdul Rehman, Sarfaraz Ahmed (wicket-keeper)

agreed sarfaraz is way better than kamran akmal.i think he had enough chances and still he is failed to prove himself.he should not be included for twenty 20

Ikram Musawir Yousafzai | 10 years ago | Reply Yeah its true that kamran isn't that reliable, though he has the ability to play fast and make some quick runs but most of the time he throws his wicket away without any reason with a super-stupid shot. On the other hand Sarfraz seems better and promising. Wish Pakistan cricket team all the best in for the upcoming major event.
