The bodies were found about four kilometers away from the shrine and the location where the bodies were discovered falls within the jurisdiction of the Sharafi Goth police station in Malir.
The police have collected finger prints from the bodies and have sent them to the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) for identification.
Sub-inspector Ikhlak Ahmed said that the marks on the bodies indicated that the three people were kidnapped and tortured before they were killed.
On January 7, the bodies of six men were found near a mud-house close to the Ayub Shah Shrine situated on a hillock located in the deserted area on the north-eastern outskirts of Karachi.
Police found a sharp-edge dagger from the crime scene and found a note threatening those who visit shrines that they would meet the same fate.
