Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Sunday soft-term loans will be given to thousands of youth through the Punjab Rozgar Bank to help them set up their businesses.


He was addressing a delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers.

He said that raising living standards was a priority of the government. He said the government had launched a number of development schemes to create new job opportunities for the youth.

He said a health insurance card scheme would be launched soon. He said it would help ease the burden of medical care. Shahbaz Sharif said subsidies would be given to the poor through the Khidmat Card system.

He said the government would roll out scholarships under the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund. He said students from Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Gilgit-Baltistan, the FATA and Azad Jammu and Kashmir were also being facilitated.
