Remembering Founders: ANP shifts anniversary celebrations

Death anniversary of founding fathers Bacha Khan and Abdul Wali Khan transferred to Charsadda.

CHARSADDA: The leadership of the Awami National Party (ANP) decided on Saturday to observe the joint death anniversary of founding fathers Bacha Khan and Abdul Wali Khan on January 26 in Charsadda rather than at Nishtar Hall, Peshawar. The decision was taken during a party meeting in Charsadda under the chairmanship of Haji Adeel that was attended by senior leaders of the party. Senior leader Asfandyar Wali Khan said the decision was taken after a long discussion and a committee was formed to supervise the anniversary’s arrangements. Begum Nasim has also announced to observe the anniversary at Nishtar Hall on Jaunary 27.
