Wapda continued in third position in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) after defeating Pak-Afghan Clearing Agency (Paca) 1-0 at the Faisal Town Ground in Lahore on Saturday.
The result registered their 14th win in the competition. Their seasoned striker Arif Mehmood proved his worth yet again when he scored the winner in the first minute of injury-time in the first-half.
Paca failed to equalise, and as a result, face relegation in 13th position with 24 points after playing 29 matches.
Wapda now have 52 points and are in third place. They are currently behind KRL (53 points) and KESC (56) on the second and first spot respectively.
Since ZTBL withdrew from the PPFL, only five more teams will be relegated to Division B league at the end of the season.
