Talking to US representative Robin Raphel in Islamabad on Saturday, Dar said that addressing energy crisis in the country is top priority of the government.
The two discussed bilateral‚ economic issues and co-operation between the two countries to encourage trade and investment in the region.
During their meeting they also discussed the agenda of the forthcoming meeting of the Economic Working Group expected to be held in Washington in April this year.
Dilating on the need to work more closely in the field of Energy, the finance Minister said that addition of 1700 Mega Watts in the national grid due to clearance of circular debt had increased industrial growth by five per cent against an average of three per cent during the last five years. This underscored the need and significance of emphasising more on the Energy sector as it would further accelerate growth in the economy.

@nomi:
Sounds grand - so maybe you can explain exactly what "services"s Pakistan providing? The only militants in Afghanistan that present a credible threat to the Coalition forces in Afghanistan are the Haqqani and Pakistan has never lifted a finger to challenge them.
Pakistan hasn't done anything to earn this money and its not funded by the coalition in Afghanistan so calling it a coalition support fund isn't appropriate. It's charity or a bribe - take your pick.
CSF - is it speed money ? feels like begging !
CSF is a kind of bribe or war booty. That is the reason why Pakistani dare to ask US for any payments. this money is in exchange for army action in KPK and FATA? Wikileaks had shown the kind of billing which Pakistan made to US for getting money. Isn't is very obvious that this money is solely for the services Pakistanis are rendering to US desires inside Pakistan.
'DO MORE' for more funds.
@Ullo Bhaya:
All you wrote is not mutually exclusive with being cute.
@Laghari: I think she is wife of US ambassador who was killed with president Zia.( If I remember correctly). This is for information only.
Not begging asking cash for what services we have rendered to them infrastructure, education, energy, man power every thing is gone in fighting their war and now is the time to get back in return and you guys are making them your enemy think about it people and only if we can get 1 sincere leader who will invest this money for the betterment of the country & people HOPE FOR THE BEST ;)
Are he didn't ashamed to beg again for CSF fund !
Why the foreign minister again beg for CSF fund ! Pakistan do not have any value in world stage if this continues..
@Laghari: A sex-starved comment at best. She is wife of late US Ambassador Raphel, who died in the plane crash with our Gen. Zia-ul-Haq. She is a known diplomat in her own right and please show some respect to visitors - who are few and far in between - to this Land of the Pure.
She is cute!
